Michael Rothbart
Piano/Guitar/Vocals

Michael Rothbart is very excited to be a part of the TBT community! He is an alumnus of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach, where he majored in Choral Music Education, with studies in piano. During his time there he sang in multiple choirs, and was an in-demand pianist for the choral department, as well as for the Theater Department. He recently completed his studies at CSULB in the Single Subject Credential Program in Music, as he is pursuing the music education field.

Michael is no stranger when it comes to Jewish music. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michael grew up at Leo Baeck Temple, where he assisted in song leading for the religious school, played piano and guitar for Shabbat services, and sang in the "Pro Choir" for their High Holy Day services. His involvement and love of Judaism is heavily driven from his legacy, as he is a grandson of LBT's founding rabbi, Leonard Beerman z"l. When not at TBT, Michael works as a music educator, freelance pianist, tenor, and musical director throughout LA and Orange County. He strives to further expand his knowledge of Jewish music and liturgy, and enjoys working with Rabbi Nico and the music team to create beautiful music.
